RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
COMMITTEE: Personnel Committee
GOALS & OBJECTIVES: To be responsible for managing the human resources of the church by providing personnel support for fulfilling the mission of our congregation.
REPORTS TO: Council
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Prepare and amend the Personnel Policy document and Performance Appraisal document.

Prepare and amend all Responsibilities and Expectations documents of paid employees, officers, and committees.

Exercise leadership in gathering call list and calling a new Pastor when a vacancy occurs, seeking the advice and help of the Bishop.

Prepare profile on all pastoral candidates and make recommendations to the council.

Be concerned about the spiritual, emotional and physical health and welfare of the Pastor and his family (adequate compensation, housing, free time, vacation, assistance in times of illness), and to that end specifically review these items once a year.

Fill all paid vacancies by interviewing and make recommendations to the Pastor.

Review yearly the salary and performance of paid employees and make appropriate recommendations to the Council.

Assist the Pastor in counseling with difficult cases and in finding peaceful and God-pleasing solutions to personal problems with in the congregation.
