RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Position: Council Vice President
Reports To: President
Responsibilities & Expectations:

Serve as a member of the Executive Committee.

Collaborate with the pastor, council president and to develop the agenda for council meetings and to deal with special situations as they arise.

Chair the council meeting in the absence of the president.

Supervise an annual review of the St Thomas Handbook to insure that information is current and accurate.

Manage the preparation of the Annual Meeting Report, including the acquisition of committee reports, staff reports and the budget.

Collaborate with the Finance Committee chairperson to schedule a practice budget report for council prior to the annual meeting.

Supervise an annual review and update of the Equipment Inventory maintained by the Property Committee.

Collaborate with the Property Committee chairperson to review and update the 5-year major maintenance/repair plan for presentation to the Finance Committee and Church Council prior to preparation of the annual budget.

Be custodian of the official seal of the Congregation.

Share with the Council President, as liaison, support and review of activities of all Committee's in furthering the mission of the congregation.

Attend once a year the Standing Committees meetings.

Chair the Personnel Ministry

Other responsibilities as Council member.
