Pastor Elstad

Rev. John M. Elstad, Pastor Emeritus, a graduate of Tufts University (1960, B.S. in Psychology) and the Philadelphia Lutheran Seminary (1963, M.Div.), served St. Thomas since his call to be Associate Pastor in 1974. He was called as Pastor in 1993. Previous to his call to Brick he had served two other congregations in New Jersey: Prince of Peace, Paramus (1963-67) and St. Paul, Edison (1967-74). Pastor Elstad and his wife, Ruth, have two grown sons and three grandchildren. Activities and interests include golf, gardening, reading and travel.
